What we do

Our HopeWorks VISTA Program allows AmeriCorps members to work with participating local organizations to provide capacity building, valuable resource acquisition and sustainability to host sites.

We support the power of nonprofits

Our AmeriCorps members help build capacity for organizations. Some examples include, but are not limited to: website design, marketing analytics, nonprofit administration, funds development, environmental stewardship, and many more. These are some of the skills chartered through the power of diversity from our AmeriCorps members from across the country.

HopeWorks serves as a sponsoring organization for AmeriCorps, placing AmeriCorps members with host site organizations throughout Snohomish County. Our HopeWorks VISTA Program allows AmeriCorps to attach and deploy additional resources for local nonprofits. These members create and support organizations in accelerating their impact within their immediate communities.

How HopeWorks AmeriCorps

VISTA Program Works

The HopeWorks VISTA Program is a cost-share partnership, in which all parties contribute to the success and outcomes of the anti-poverty works at your organization. Investment by the host site and the community is fundamental, as the AmeriCorps VISTA resources are intended to be short-term.

Organizations interested in hosting an AmeriCorps member through the HopeWorks VISTA Program must complete a host site application. A host site may apply for an AmeriCorps opportunity for a maximum of three years and must renew the position annually. AmeriCorps members serve for a 12-month term, so the host site should expect to recruit for an opportunity on an annual basis.
